Here are a few titles I have found invaluable to the project.
The first on this list is the excellent Osprey Campaign title from Christopher Gravett. Osprey does a good series of books on the battles in their Campaign series.
The second is the book that started it all for me many decades ago. Terry Wise has managed to take an astonishingly complex series of events and managed to give us a fantastic read all in less than 48 pages.
The third book is another from the Osprey stable. This one is by Michael Hicks from their Essential Histories series. A great read.
